Life gets in the way sometimes - it can become somewhat impossible to continue a journey as planned or hoped for. An essential hip replacement (in 2023) and an online textile degree course (begun in late 2021) has side-tracked me for the past few years ... possible " detours " being what I called them in 2010 when beginning this creative journey.
I had hoped the course would be beneficial by acquiring the degree I had wanted at 18. However, this gradually turned out not to be the case and after almost halfway through (mid 2025), decided to discontinue with it. The impetus was attending a short course held by the globally acclaimed and inspirational artist, Michael Brennand-Wood (online image above).
Since then, various textile based artworks have been completed, new ones begun with both now being digitally recorded and referenced - in due course, to be on display.
